On August 10, 2022, President Biden signed the Camp Lejeune Justice Act, part of the larger PACT Act. CBS 5 News interviewed attorney Brian Snyder from Snyder & Wenner about this significant legislation and what it means for our Veterans. In short, the bill gives Veterans the ability to sue the federal government for its part in dumping toxic chemicals in the groundwater at Camp Lejeune from 1953 to 1987. This gross negligence has caused our Veterans, their family members, contractors, and workers to develop life-threatening cancers and Parkinson’s Disease. Under the Camp Lejeune Act, if you lived at Camp Lejeune for more than 30 days from 1953 to 1987 and you were later diagnosed with cancer or Parkinson’s Disease (as well as other conditions), you may be eligible to file a lawsuit.
