On Friday, August 5, 2022, Snyder & Wenner and their client, Larry Davidson, were featured in ABC15’s news story regarding the Camp LeJeune water contamination lawsuits. Mr. Davidson served at Camp LeJeune for one year as a cook. He was exposed to the contaminated water for nearly 20 hours per day, every day. Nearly 45 years later, Mr. Davidson was diagnosed with stage 5 advanced high-risk prostate cancer. His condition is not curable. Mr. Davidson put his life on the line to help our country and his fellow Marines. The government’s decision to dump toxic chemicals into the groundwater has forever changed his life. Now, due to the Camp LeJeune Justice Act, Marines like Mr. Davidson can sue the government for their injuries caused by the water contamination.
The Camp LeJeune Justice Act was passed out of the Senate last week and is expected to be signed by President Biden on August 10, 2022. Once the bill is signed into law, anyone who spent more than 30 days at Camp LeJeune from 1953 to 1987 and were later diagnosed with a serious health condition (including, but not limited to, leukemia, lymphoma, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, Parkinson’s Disease, and many others) can file lawsuits in against the government for compensation.
